Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on the 26th of March on the 26th of March, 1991. She's an American artist and songwriter, as well as the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. In October of 2016, Ari Lennox released her EP Pho. It was here that she gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio album came out on May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox posted her songs online in 2012 when she released five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014 she continued to share her music over the internet, including her self released single Bound. On 21st of July 2015, Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes the track"Sweat It Out. The following year, her music circulated throughout the Dreamville team, as J. Cole wanted her to join him in creating some references for Rihanna. Then, in December of 2008 it was revealed that Rihanna had signed to Dreamville Records. The album Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the track Backseat with Cozz. In October 21, 2016, she released her debut EP entitled Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She also appeared on the songs Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus along with Bas the label's co-founders. Ari Lennox dropped her first track Whipped Cream on Shea Butter Baby on July 16th. A music clip was released, followed by a music video September. In November, she dropped two singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. In November 2013 she dropped No One and Pedigree. She appeared with Cole in The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of November 16and later she released the song as a single by herself to her debut album. The song, made available with a video posted on YouTube on February 20, 2019, has been watched over three million times over the first seven days. She was part of 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour at the end of December 2018.
